Why do I need a Labour Allocation Report?

If you are building one home at a time then this report is not required by you however, if you are building more than one home at a time then you should be doing a 'labour allocation' each week.

Having multiple homes under construction will require multiple trade contractors and suppliers in some cases. Carrying out a 'labour allocation' each week with the supervisors will highlight when more than one contractor is required or whether the projects can be re-programmed to enable the available resources to undertake the works on the homes.

Doing a 'labour allocation' should also help highlight whether any new trade contractors are required in the coming weeks to meet the required demand for labour.

This meeting and subsequent report ensures there are no 'double bookings for a trade leading to misunderstandings and hassles between supervisors.
