The calculator is used to calculate three different types of information needed for various claims and letters: Extensions of Time; Liquidated Damages; and Overdue Interest on Payments.

Extensions of Time (EOT) need to be calculated into the contract period to determine if any liquidated damages are due at the end of the contract.

The Liquidated Damages (LDs) are set out in the building contract but need to be calculated if there are any offsets to be made against the final claim.

The Overdue Interest is used where a client is overdue on paying a claim and the provision in the contract for claiming overdue interest is utilised with the client. This calculator works out the compounding interest due for the period of time and the interest charged.
